…divine inspiration

I recently read where a writer discovered that his writing was by divine inspiration.  I submit that ALL writing is divinely inspired if the writer allows the creative forces inside them to flow forward. I wholeheartedly believe that there is a creative person, a writing person living inside each of us.  Even the business person who writes letters and policy manuals or the lawyer that writes briefs. Where else does that stuff come from?

I suppose you could argue that it’s the byproduct of years of training and study and late nights and strong, black coffee. And I would not disagree with that one bit. However, I also believe it is because the Creative One who looks over all that we do is working in the back ground.

Lately I’ve been mediating on how man makes plans and God’s purpose prevails. This is very profound for me because, as I’ve said (somewhere) before, we humans make thousands upon thousands of plans each day. How many of those plans are submitted to God for his approval is a separate, usually ignored question.

even as I write, i feel a rhythm to what I’m saying. It’s inexplicable and hard to understand, but I marvel at the speed that my fingers fly across the keys. That too is God.

I wrote a little piece during my creative time today. Here goes:

tulips rising

peeking out from behind

brown crunchy leaves

and brush

poke the tops of tulips

rising out of the ground

it is the herald of spring

Gotta go for now. More to follow…
